“Isolator” is a great little app that can help you to concentrate on whatever you’re working on by hiding background windows. This basically gives you a “single-window” mode and helps you to avoid distractions that prevent you from getting your work done.
Applications such as Writeroom and Pages ’09 offer similar features, but Isolator will work with all your applications. There are several dimming options available, in case you don’t want to shut out the rest of your apps entirely as well.
So if you’re easily distracted, check out Isolator! (Free, donations accepted)
